Lake Minnewanka Frozen Bubble

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in the eastern part of Banff National Park, about 5 kilometers northeast of downtown Banff. The lake is 21 kilometers long and 142 meters deep, making it the second longest lake in Canada's Rocky Mountain parks. In winter, it transforms into a mystical space where you can experience ice bubbles. This phenomenon occurs when methane gas, produced by plants growing on the lakebed, rises to the surface and freezes, creating what is known as Frozen Bubbles.

The name "Two Jack Lake" originates from two men named Jack who were active in the area during the late 19th century. One was Jack Stanley, and the other was Jack Watters. They were involved in mining and exploration around Banff, and the lake was named in their honor as "Two Jack Lake." Two Jack Lake is a stunning lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Just a short drive from Banff, it is a popular destination for visitors looking to experience breathtaking scenery. The lake’s emerald waters, surrounded by majestic mountains, create a picturesque setting, especially during sunrise and sunset.
