캐나다 신혼여행 중 3박 4일 일정으로 김성훈 가이드님과 밴프투어를 다녀왔습니다. 투어는 처음이라서 일정이 빡빡하거나 자유시간이 부족하면 어떡하지 하는 걱정이 있었는데 괜한 걱정이었더라구요! 하루 일정도 적당했고 밴프 도착 이후에는 밴프 주변을 둘러볼 수 있는 자유시간도 주어져서 만족스러웠습니다. 무엇보다도 가이드님이 여행객들에게 많은 곳을 보여주고 싶다는 욕심이 있으셔서 일정에는 현지인들이 주로 가는 곳도 많이 구경할 수 있어 좋았습니다. 여행 중 각 지역마다 꼭 먹어보면 좋을 음식들, 맛집 추천은 기본이었고 그 지역의 유래들도 함께 설명해주셔서 약간의 지식들도 얻을 수 있었습니다. 여행 중 화장실 이용이 가장 애매했는데, 가이드님께서 때에 맞춰 화장실을 이용할 수 있도록 차를 정차해주시거나 잠시 커피타임을 가질 수 있는 시간도 마련해주셔서 긴 버스 이용 시간 동안에도 부담이 적었습니다. 투어에 포함되어 있는 식사 계획도 조율이 가능했고, 옵션에 들어있는 선택투어(?)들도 자율적이라 좋았습니다. 함께 투어했을 때 어르신들도 계셨는데 가이드님께서 어르신들을 배려해서 한식당도 많이 추천해주시고 여행에 어려움이 많이 발생하지 않도록 계속 신경써주시는 모습이 인상깊었습니다. 친근하게 여행객들을 대해주시고, 편안하고 알찬 일정을 계획하고 진행해주신 김성훈 가이드님께 너무 감사드립니다. 밴프 투어를 고민중이신 분들이 계신다면 오케이 밴프 투어 추천합니다.

Who am I? 인생을 별로 살진 않았지만, 이때까지 살아가며, 항상 궁금한 질문이였습니다. 난 누구일까? 장난꾸러기, 아이같고, 긍정적이고 활발한 성격이지만, 때로는 진지하게 나에 대해, 인생에 대해 고민할 때가 종종 있습니다. 35년의 인생을 살아오며 기회가 되어 선교여행도 다니고 개인적으로 여행을 다녀보고, 매일 일상을 살아 가며, 제가 문화에 관심이 많다는 걸 알았지만, 영어는 잘 못한다는 사실을 알게되고 큰 용기내어 워홀막차를 타고 현재 캐나다로 온지 4달 되었습니다. 어릴적부터 한국 문화와 맞지 않는 부분도 좀 있었고, 외국에 나가서 산다는 삶이 궁금했지만, 기회가 없어 여행만 다니며 그나라 문화를 경험하다 드디어 살게 되었네요. 가장 고민이 많을 때 모든것을 다 던지고 캐나다로 온다는 건 쉽지 않은 결정이었지만, 지난 4달간 캐나다를 알아가는 시간과 미국에 있는 친구 그리고 가족과 시간을 보내고 본격적으로 영어공부와 일을 하기전 록키투어에 오게 되었습니다. 장거리 미국 로드크립은 꽤많이 했던 터라, 여행사가 아닌 개인적으로 다니는게 전부였는데, 여행사를 통한 장거리 로드트립은 처음입니다. 여행이 주는 의미가 너무 좋아 기회가 될 때면 여행을 즐깁니다. 늘 여행에서 많은 생각을 하게 되는데, 이번 여행에서는 인연이란 무엇인가를 좀 더 생각하게 되었습니다. 앤드류 가이드님과 잭 기사님을 만나 밴쿠버에서 록키 여정을 시작했다는 건 제 인생에 가장 럭키한 순간이 되었습니다. (록키럭키) 처음에는 몰랐지만, 여행을 하며, 마무리하는 순간. 정말 이런 순간이 저에게 찾아올 줄 몰랐는데, 여행사과 가이드 분에 대한 편견이 어쩔 수 없었던 터라, 큰 기대가 없었는데, 3박 4일동안 록키 산맥을 다 도는 엄청난 일정에도 불구하고, 버스에서 잠이 안올 정도로 재밌고 유익한 설명과 멀미 없이 스무스하게 운전히는 일정. 이 모든게 정말 저를 놀래켰습니다. 역사면 역사, 과학이면 과학, 모든 방면에서 귀에 쏙쏙 들리게 너무 재밌게 설명해주시는 스웨그 넘치는 앤드류 가이드님. 또한, 그분의 삶 이야기 짧막한 강의를 통해 인생을 생각하게 되고, 아이들이 꽤 많았는데, 아이들을 우선시 해주시는 행동과 약자에 대한 배려심을 보며 존경심과 배우고 싶은 선생님과 같은 가이드님을 만난다는 건 처음이였습니다. 개인적으로 로드 트립하며 절대 경험할 수 없는 것들을 경험한 4일. 여행을 하는 도중 부모님에게 다음에 캐나다 올 때 꼭 이투어 이 가이드님을 선택하라고 연락했습니다. 가장 사랑하는 사람에게 저와 똑같은 여정을 추천하고 싶다는 마음이 들정도의 훌륭한 여정이였습니다. 이번 여행에서 가이드님의 나이스한 리드로 인해 서로 모르던 저희 팀도 다같이 친해지며 연락처 교환하며 대화할수 있는 시간도 갖게되며, 이번 여행에서는 나를 더 알아가고, 대자연 앞에서 인생도 생각하게 되며, 새로운 인연을 만나게 되는 재밌는 시간들. 여행이 주는 진정한 의미를 느낀 시간이였습니다. 끝으로 단순 관광이 아닌 어마어마한 대자연 록키마운틴에서 저에게 잊지못할 특별한 경험과 추억을 만들어주신, 앤드류 가이드님, 잭 기사님, 그리고 2025/07/31-08/03 베스킨 롸빈스 31 팀원분들 너무나도 감사드립니다.
