Around Emerald Lake, you can walk along the snowy shoreline and take in panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, and when conditions allow, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are available on selected routes. Access to areas such as Takakkaw Falls and Lake O’Hara is limited in the winter season, so a typical winter visit to Yoho focuses on Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, and viewpoints near Field, where you can appreciate the calm, snow-covered scenery at a relaxed pace.
