1. Entry to the United States by Land from Canada

Passports must have a validity of at least 6 months regardless of nationality.


If a minor is traveling with a guardian instead of a parent, a parental consent form may be required. Please check with the respective embassies for detailed information.

Entry/immigration inspections are under the exclusive authority of each country's immigration officials. Please note that we are not able to assist with entry refusals or delays.

If entry is denied due to issues such as:

- Missing passports or visas
- Expired or imminent expiration dates of passports and visa;

We are NOT able to issue ANY REFUNDS OR PROVIDE ASSISTANCE; including booking a returning ticket.
It is solely guest's responsibility to ensure that all necessary documents are verified in advance to prevent any inconvenience


US Visa Waiver Program

1. For South Korean nationals and other eligible travelers under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), entry into the US can be achieved through the following conditions:

- You must possess an electronic passport, and your visit must be for tourism or business purposes with a stay of 90 days or less.
- If arriving by air, you must obtain pre-approval through the ESTA.
- For land travel to the US, ESTA pre-approval is also required, and a US entry fee of $6 will apply.

2. If you have been denied entry, had a visa refused, been deported, or have overstayed in the past, you may not be eligible for the VWP. In such cases, you must obtain a separate visa from a US embassy.

3. US entry approval is at the discretion of the immigration officer. Even if you qualify under the VWP, entry can still be denied.


※ Prohibited Items Notice

Please read the following information carefully regarding the increased inspection procedures by CBP for passengers entering the United States (including U.S. territories) with food items:

Major prohibited items include: ramen, sausages, dried seafood (seaweed, anchovies, squid, filefish, etc.)

Penalties for prohibited items:

If declared on the customs declaration form: items will be confiscated and disposed.
If not declared on the customs declaration form: items will be confiscated, and you may be fined of at least $1,300 CAD and face prosecution.


Previously, inspections were mainly targeted towards boxed luggage. However, random checks on all baggage have increased in frequency. If you are found in violation of carrying prohibited items, you may face increased inspections on future entries, resulting in significant delays and inconvenience. Please take note of this information.


1. Bringing Gifts, Alcohol, and Other Goods

Gifts valued up to CAD $60 can be brought into Canada tax-free. Exceeding this amount may incur taxes. Alcohol, tobacco, and promotional items are not considered gifts.

2. Pets

All animals entering Canada are subject to inspection upon arrival. Detailed procedures can be found on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) website. Animals that are found to be or suspected of being diseased will be denied, and prohibited from entry.

3. Bringing Firearms and Weapons

Guns, mace, and pepper spray are prohibited from being brought into Canada. Detailed regulations regarding the importation of weapons can be found on the Canadian Embassy in your country or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

4. Bringing Alcohol and Tobacco

If you are of legal drinking age in the province or territory where you are entering Canada, you are allowed to bring in limited quantities of alcohol. These items must be in your possession upon entry. The legal drinking age is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, and 19 in Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Duty-free allowances set by Canadian Customs include 1.14 liters of wine or whiskey, or 24 cans of 355ml beer, 200 cigarettes, and 50 cigars.

5. Prohibited or Restricted Items

The importation of agricultural products into Canada is prohibited or restricted. According to Canadian law, you must declare any agricultural products upon arrival. All plants, except for houseplants from the United States, require a permit to be brought into Canada, with more detailed information available from the CFIA. Handguns, mace, and pepper spray are prohibited from being brought into Canada. Additionally, fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs, meat, dairy products, and plants from other countries are also prohibited. For more detailed information, please refer to the CBSA website.
